Sekai Biotech, Inc. (the “Company”) handles personal information in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of Japan, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, as amended; the “APPI”), and this Privacy Policy. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the APPI.

The Company uses personal information it acquires for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Company’s services;
  • To respond to inquiries from users, including for the purpose of identity verification;
  • To send users emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other information relating to services they are currently using, as well as information regarding other services offered by the Company;

Names, company or organization names, department names, job titles, telephone numbers, email addresses, business addresses and other contact information, and all other categories of personal information held by the respective joint users.

Scope of Joint Users

The Company, Advanced Technology Acceleration Corporation (ATAC), IGPI Group, Inc., and their respective subsidiaries.

Purposes of Joint Use

  • To provide services independently or jointly;
  • To conduct surveys for the purpose of improving such services;
  • To provide information regarding such services;
  • To provide information regarding seminars organized independently or jointly, distribute newsletters, and provide other information;
  • To respond to various inquiries; and
  • For purposes incidental or related to any of the foregoing.

The Company endeavors to keep personal information accurate and up to date.

The Company takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, damage, or other compromise of personal information. The Company also exercises necessary and appropriate supervision over its officers and employees to ensure the secure management of personal information.Where the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information to an external service provider, the Company exercises necessary and appropriate supervision over such service provider.

6. Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion of Personal Information

If the Company receives a request from an individual, pursuant to the APPI, for the disclosure; correction, addition, or deletion; suspension of use or erasure; cessation of provision to third parties; or notification of the purpose of use of personal information held by the Company, the Company will verify the identity of the requesting individual and respond appropriately in accordance with the APPI and other applicable laws and regulations of Japan.
